The IC200ERM002 is a single-slot Expansion Receiver Module that extends VersaMax I/O racks up to 750 m from the CPU. When paired with an IC200EBI001 or IC200CPU001 in the main rack, this module provides a high-speed parallel backplane link over low-cost CAT5e cable, supporting 64 I/O modules and 2,048 digital points per expansion node. Features like auto-baud detection and hot-swap capability significantly reduce commissioning time and downtime in large distributed systems.

Installation & Wiring Tips
  1. Use shielded CAT5e - connect drain wire to earth at main rack only to avoid ground loops.
  2. Maintain 25 mm clearance above module for hot-insertion.
  3. Terminate ends - 120 Ω resistor across TX+/TX- at last node (resistor pack included).
  4. Verify power budget - each ERM adds 350 mA @ 5 V to expansion rack.
  5. Label cables - port labelled "IN" faces main rack, "OUT" continues to next node.
